Double rotator flowmeter (hereinafter referred to as flowmeter) belongs to the latest generation of volumetric flowmeter internationally, also known as UF – ∥ flowmeter or screw flowmeter. It is a precision instrument used for measuring and controlling liquid flow in pipelines. Widely used in departments such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, electric power, transportation, ships, oil depots, docks, tank trucks, etc., it is particularly suitable for measuring flow meters for industrial liquids such as crude oil, refined oil, and light hydrocarbons. The flow meters can indicate on site, read the code directly, and can be distributed with a communicator, output electrical pulse signals, and transmit them remotely to secondary instruments or computers to form automatic control, automatic detection, and data processing systems.

Characteristics of dual rotor flowmeter
Suitable for thin oil, light oil, heavy oil, crude oil with high sand content and high water content, and the viscosity range of the measured liquid is wide.
The liquid flow rate passed through the flowmeter is large, and the maximum flow rate is about twice that of a regular volumetric gauge with the same diameter.
Long service life, high accuracy, and strong reliability.
The internal pressure loss is extremely small.
The longest distance for wired remote transmission is 1000 meters, with a pulse signal output of N=0.1L (one pulse is 1N), which can be directly connected to a computer network.
Intrinsic safety explosion-proof type Ia Ⅱ CT6 (intrinsic safety type); Explosion proof d Ⅱ BT6 (explosion-proof type); Protection against IP56.
Working principle of dual rotator flowmeter
The spiral rotators of the flowmeter have a pair of special teeth that mesh directly without relative sliding and do not require synchronous gears. Drive the rotator to rotate by the small pressure difference at the inlet and outlet. The following diagram represents a cross-section of a pair of rotators during operation. At the same time, although each rotator experiences different rotational torques from the fluid on the same cross-section, the combined torque of the rotational torques experienced by the two rotators on all cross-sections is equal. Therefore, both rotators rotate at a constant speed and equal torque, with balanced displacement and no pulsation. The spiral rotator can output 8 times the volume of the cavity per revolution, therefore, the rotational speed of the rotator is proportional to the cumulative flow rate of the fluid, and the rotational speed of the rotator is proportional to the instantaneous flow rate of the fluid. The rotational speed of the rotator is transmitted to the meter counter through a magnetic coupling, displaying the flow rate through the flowmeter (flowing through the pipeline).
Double rotator (screw) flowmeter
Double rotator (screw) flowmeter is a uniquely designed volumetric flowmeter mainly used for liquid flow measurement. The measuring unit consists of two rotary rotators, which are controlled by a set of precise gears, as shown in Figure 2-5 Structurally, it can also be divided into two forms: standard double rotators and axial flow double rotators
The measurement principle of the dual rotor flowmeter is the same as that of the above-mentioned rotor type flowmeters. The number of rotations of the flowmeter rotor is directly proportional to the total amount of fluid passing through the flowmeter. So, as long as the rotational speed of the rotor is transmitted to the counting indicator mechanism through the gear mechanism, the flow rate value can be obtained.
In addition to having a direct reading counter to indicate the flow rate locally, the dual rotor flowmeter can also be equipped with a pulse generator to convert the number of rotor rotations proportional to the volume flow rate passing through the flowmeter into a pulse signal, which can be easily connected to a flow integrator or computer.
