Large caliber IC card remote water meter is a water meter that combines traditional mechanical water meters and intelligent IC card technology, mainly used for functions such as prepayment, remote management, and tiered billing.

Manufacturer of Large caliber IC card remote transmission water meter
The large-diameter intelligent water meter is an innovation in the field of intelligent water meters, which integrates narrowband IoT technology and achieves remote meter reading and valve control functions. Compared with traditional LORA water meters, photoelectric direct reading remote water meters, and wireless remote water meters, it does not require a data collector or carrier module, simplifies the installation process, and reduces management costs.
Large caliber intelligent water meter controller part
The IC card uses a CPU smart card, and the card protocol is designed according to the Tongzhou water meter CPU card data protocol. The ESAM security module is installed in the controller to complete the key security authentication of the CPU card and water meter controller, ensuring data security. After the data processing is completed, the corresponding data should be displayed on the display module, and the display content should be the same as before.
The CPU in the header section is responsible for collecting and storing measurement data, and determining the opening and closing of valves based on logical calculations.
After the user inserts the water purchase card into the control, the controller first performs key security authentication. After the authentication is completed, the purchased water quantity data is read into the ESAM module for storage, and the RS-485 interface is simultaneously activated to transmit the purchased water quantity data to the header. After receiving the purchased water quantity data, the header adds it to the remaining water quantity and returns the new remaining water quantity and cumulative water consumption data to the controller. After receiving the returned data, the controller will write the relevant data back to the water purchase card and display the relevant data in a loop. After the display is complete, it will be delayed and turned off.
Large caliber intelligent water meter head
Under normal circumstances, for every effective pulse correctly measured, the remaining water volume decreases by 1. When the remaining water volume reaches 0, the valve automatically closes to cut off the user’s water supply. At this point, users can initiate data exchange between the controller and the header by inserting a card, and read the data from the header to the controller for rotation display or through a card or read-write device.
3.6V lithium argon batteries are installed in the header and controller sections, respectively, to supply power to their respective electronic modules. Battery detection circuits are also set up to detect battery capacity. When the battery capacity in the header section is insufficient, the valve will automatically close. When the battery capacity of the controller is insufficient, the controller will also issue a valve closing command to close the valve. At this point, the user can insert the card for inspection. After inserting the card, the controller first issues a meter reading instruction to read the data and working status of the meter head back to the controller, and then displays it in combination with the data and status of the controller.
The connection between the header and controller is completely dependent
RS-485 transmission, using a 4-wire system with two power lines and two data lines. The power supply for 485 communication is provided by the controller and does not use the power supply of the meter head.
In order to minimize power consumption, the controller and the header do not communicate with each other during normal times. The controller controls data communication with the header at the end of each month, transmitting the header data and status to the controller. At other times, communication is initiated after inserting the IC card, and no communication connection is made when the user has not inserted the card.
If there is no low battery voltage in the header section, I should send data to the controller (after closing the valve)
When the remaining water in the water meter exceeds the purchase limit, the water meter controller prohibits adding the purchased water from the water card to the water meter, and displays a prompt code “E-17”.
